Pissouri Beach is divided into two parts, with the western part being more secluded and peaceful, while the eastern part is livelier and features several beach bars and restaurants. The beach is also ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports such as jet skiing and parasailing.

One of the unique features of Pissouri Beach is the large rock formation that juts out from the sea, providing a dramatic backdrop to the beach’s already stunning scenery. Visitors can climb to the top of the rock to enjoy panoramic views of the coast and the surrounding hills.

Pissouri Beach offers unique peace and relaxation. Its beauty in combination with the light and the white colour of the two hills offers a spectacular place of fun for all its guests. It is the ideal beach with a length of 1.500 metres and a width of 90 metres which can be used by all swimmers. Sports lovers can do water skiing, surf and paraglide. Swimmers can also use their own umbrella and enjoy a pleasant day. Pissouri beach is proud to offer its beach facilities for free.

There are two changing rooms, toilets and showers which are offered for communal use. The are also lifeguards which are trained to be on duty during the summer months. All these facilities help visitors enjoy their day and also make Pissouri a comfortable and safe place. The parking area also offers access to the beach without a hassle. There are five pathways in order to get to the beach on foot , two of which are specially made for people with disabilities.

 

How to Get to Pissouri Beach>

Pissouri Beach is easy to reach by car, bus, or bike. If you are driving, you can take the A6 motorway from Limassol or Paphos and exit at Pissouri. The distance from Limassol is about 30 km, and from Paphos about 40 km. There are car parking facilities available near the beach.

If you prefer public transport, you can take the bus from Limassol or Paphos to Pissouri village, and then walk or take a taxi to the beach. The bus fare is about 3 euros, and the taxi fare is about 10 euros. The bus service runs every day, except Sundays and public holidays.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can also rent a bike and cycle to Pissouri Bay. There are several bike rental shops in Limassol and Paphos, and the route is scenic and enjoyable. The bike ride takes about an hour and a half from Limassol, and two hours from Paphos.
 

What to Do Near Pissouri Beach

There are plenty of things to do near Pissouri Beach, as the village and the nearby area offer a variety of attractions and activities. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Explore the village and admire its traditional architecture, its narrow streets, and its colorful houses.
  • Visit the nearby churches and monuments, such as Agiou Alexandrou Chapel, Saint Spiridonas, Apostolos Andreas Church, Aristides Potamitis Monument, and Neoklis Antoniadis Monument.
  • Enjoy the local cuisine and the wine at one of the many tavernas, restaurants, and bars around the square and the beach. Some of the most popular ones are Bunch of Grapes, Hide-Away Restaurant, O Vrakas Taverna, and Two Friends Taverna.

  • Relax at the Pissouri Square Fountain, a beautiful and ornate fountain located in the heart of the village. The fountain consists of an octagonal base pool with a carved column, a sculpted bowl, a square pillar with bunches of grapes, and a scalloped dish with water spouts. On top of it all, there is a round stone. The fountain is a symbol of the village’s history and culture, as Pissouri is known for its wine production and grape festivals.
